decade. He spent many years working closely with company founder David Savoie
until Dave’s passing in May 2023. Over the years, Alex has played
an instrumental role in the company’s growth, developing deep expertise in
aviation finance and building long-standing relationships within the industry.
In his current role as Chief Executive Officer, Alex is responsible for the
company’s strategic direction, daily operations, and credit administration. He
brings a disciplined, analytical approach to structuring aircraft financing
solutions, with a strong focus on risk management, asset valuation, and
tailored lending strategies for clients. A firm believer in leading by example,
Alex values direct, transparent communication and remains actively engaged with
clients—often personally answering calls to ensure a high and deeply
personal level of service.
Originally from Minnesota, Alex is a military veteran, having served 8 years in
the U.S. Army. He then spent 16 years in the New York City real estate
industry, where he developed extensive experience in sales, underwriting, and
complex financial transactions. After relocating to Vermont with his
family, Alex joined US Aircraft Finance in 2013, seamlessly combining
his background in mortgage lending and deal structuring with his passion for
aviation. Since then, he has helped guide a wide range of aircraft transactions,
from single-engine planes and twin-turbos to experimental craft and
jets. Working on so many different types of complex aircraft acquisitions, Alex
has earned a reputation for practical, straightforward,
solutions-oriented financing.
A licensed private pilot, Alex has a genuine passion for aviation that
extends beyond business—giving him a unique, firsthand understanding of the
needs and perspectives of aircraft owners and operators. This perspective
enhances his ability to align financial solutions with real-world aviation use
cases.
Alex is a dedicated husband and father to his blended family. He is an
avid Minnesota Vikings fan. Outside of work, Alex enjoys flying,
boating, motorcycling, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Office Manager
Pauline (Polly) is the Quality Control admin for both finance and insurance departments at USAF.
Dedication to the company began in 2010 following a 5-year hiatus to enjoy time with her only grandson.
Pauline takes care of financing paperwork, prepares it for closing, and ensures FAA/escrow has all of the correct documents needed for a smooth closing.
Polly’s favorite thing about flying is “getting to my destination faster than driving!” Outside of work, she enjoys attending classic car shows and traveling.

Misty has been a part of the USAF team since 2018 first running the day-to-day insurance department.
Now, a part of the executive administration team, her duties include finance administrator, closing procedures and underwriting.
After working in banking and finance for several years, Misty was drawn to the unique aspect of aircraft financing and was interested in flexibility not seen in traditional banking.
When she is not in the office, Misty likes to cook, attend live music and loves being outside to hike, garden or just playing with her dog. Her family is important to her, and she enjoys spending time with them as well as with her friends and neighbors.

Bookkeeper
Melody has worked with the team at USAF since 2014 as our talented Bookkeeper.
Mostly working as a freelance bookkeeper, Melody enjoys the flexible schedule she can maintain while working with the USAF team.
What Melody enjoys most about flying is “the speed in which I get to my destination!” While she isn’t working, Melody spends time with her family including her five granddaughters, which she says gives her “the most joy outside the office”.
When she is not visiting family and friends, you’ll likely find her taking a walk or hunkered down with a good book.
